چکیده

Dental implants are considered the first choice to replace lost or non-restorable teeth. However, posterior maxilla remains a challenge in its management because of quality bone maxilla. Osseo densification (OD) concept has been proposed literature improve primary implant stability, which is an important aspect osseointegration. Densah bur novel drills specially designed enhance density by densification, turn increases stability. This present study was conducted assess crestal sinus floor elevation osteotome comparison atrophic randomized controlled clinical trial on 20 patients evaluate available height loss, stability after placement healed maxillary alveolar ridge, whole height, Schneiderian membrane trauma, and post-operative complication.

Synergy between 3D Models and Tissue Engineering to Optimize Sinus Lift, Implant Placement and Immediate Loading in Partially Edentulous Patients

Tissue engineering is a clinical approach toward the development of dynamic molecular delivery that can restore and improve regeneration. The 3D models and regenerative principles applied during implant guided dental surgery open new approaches for tissue constructs favoring sinus lift and implant placement. Purpose: The aim of the present clinical study was to determine evidence that synergy b...

Osteotome-Mediated Sinus Lift without Grafting Material: A Review of Literature and a Technique Proposal

Implant rehabilitation of the edentulous posterior maxilla may be a challenging procedure in the presence of insufficient bone volume for implant placement. Maxillary sinus augmentation with or without using grafting materials aims to provide adequate bone volume. The aim of the present study was to systematically review the existing literature on transalveolar maxillary sinus augmentation with...

Sinus augmentation via transcrestal approach: a comparison between the balloon and osteotome technique in a cadaver study.

BACKGROUND The transcrestal approach with osteotomes is a commonly applied and predictable technique for maxillary sinus floor elevation. However, Schneiderian membrane perforation is a common and often inevitable intraoperative complication. Recently, the use of balloons has been proposed to reduce the risk of sinus membrane perforation and to facilitate the surgical technique. The aim of this...

Clinical outcomes of an osteotome technique and simultaneous placement of Neoss implants in the posterior maxilla.

BACKGROUND Insufficient bone volume often hamper placement of dental implants in the posterior maxilla. PURPOSE The aim of the present clinical study was to evaluate retrospectively the clinical outcome of implant placement in the resorbed posterior maxilla using an osteotome technique without adding any grafting material. MATERIALS AND METHODS Twenty patients with 5 to 9 mm of residual alv...
